From the ads we love for great concepts and brilliant execution to ads that we were divided on, narrowing the list was not an easy task. We’ll share more but here are a few that stood out.
Enter the Beetle. The weird little car from the country that started World War 2. The engine was in the back, it had no horsepower, and it was small, inexpensive and fuel-efficient. It was essentially the opposite of American cars and mainstream consumer values. And DDB’s challenge was to develop demand with a very limited ad budget.
